Глава 7

1 Жители Кириаф-Иарима пришли в Вефсамис, забрали ковчег Господа и принесли его на холм в дом Авинадава. Они провели особую церемонию, чтобы подготовить Елеазара, сына Авинадава, охранять ковчег Господа.

2 И ковчег простоял в Кириаф-Иариме двадцать лет. Народ Израиля стал снова следовать за Господом.

3 Самуил обратился к израильтянам с такими словами: «Если вы всем сердцем своим повинуетесь Господу, вы должны избавиться от иноземных богов. Вы должны выбросить идолов богини Астарты. Вы полностью должны отдаться Господу и служить только Ему, тогда Господь спасёт вас от филистимлян».

4 Израильтяне выбросили идолов лжебога Ваала и Астарты и стали служить лишь Господу.

5 Самуил сказал: «Все израильтяне должны собраться в Мицфе. Я помолюсь о вас Господу».

6 Израильтяне собрались в Мицфе. Они черпали воду и проливали её перед Господом (так они начинали время поста). Они постились в тот день и исповедовались в своих грехах. Они говорили: «Мы согрешили перед Господом». Самуил был судьёй над израильтянами в Мицфе.

7 Филистимляне услышали, что народ Израиля собрался в Мицфе, и филистимские правители пошли против израильтян. Израильтяне, услышав об этом, очень испугались.

8 Они сказали Самуилу: «Не переставай молиться о нас Господу, Богу нашему, чтобы Он спас нас от филистимлян!»

9 Самуил взял ягнёнка, принёс его в жертву всесожжения Господу и молился Господу об Израиле. И Господь услышал его молитву.

10 Когда Самуил приносил жертву, филистимляне вышли на битву с Израилем. Но Господь разразился сильным громом над филистимлянами и привёл их в ужас и смятение. Так израильтяне победили филистимлян в битве.

11 Израильтяне выступили из Мицфы, и преследовали филистимлян, и убивали их до самого Вефхора.

12 После этого Самуил взял камень и поставил его между Мицфой и Сеном. Он назвал этот камень «Камнем Помощи» и сказал: «Господь помогал нам на протяжении всего пути, вплоть до этого места!»

13 Филистимляне были побеждены, и поэтому они больше не ходили в Израильскую землю. И пока был жив Самуил, Господь был против филистимлян.

14 Филистимляне забрали у Израиля города от Екрона до Гефа, но израильтяне отвоевали у них эти города и их окрестности. Между израильтянами и аморреями тоже был мир.

15 Самуил вёл за собой Израиль всю свою жизнь.

16 Он ходил с места на место и судил народ Израиля. Каждый год он обходил страну: Вефиль, Галгал, Мицфу — и судил израильский народ во всех этих городах.

17 Но дом Самуила был в Раме, и поэтому он всегда возвращался туда. В этом городе Он построил алтарь Господу и судил там народ.

Chapter 7

1 And the men582 of Kirjathjearim7157 came,935 and fetched5927 up the ark727 of the LORD,3068 and brought935 it into413 the house1004 of Abinadab41 in the hill,1389 and sanctified6942 Eleazar499 his son1121 to keep8104 the ark727 of the LORD.3068

2 And it came1961 to pass, while3117 the ark727 stayed3427 in Kirjathjearim,7157 that the time3117 was long;7235 for it was twenty6242 years:8141 and all3605 the house1004 of Israel3478 lamented5091 after310 the LORD.3068

3 And Samuel8050 spoke559 to all3605 the house1004 of Israel,3478 saying,559 If518 you do return7725 to the LORD3068 with all3605 your hearts,3824 then put5493 away5493 the strange5236 gods430 and Ashtaroth6252 from among8432 you, and prepare3559 your hearts3824 to the LORD,3068 and serve5647 him only:905 and he will deliver5337 you out of the hand3027 of the Philistines.6430

4 Then the children1121 of Israel3478 did put5493 away5493 Baalim1168 and Ashtaroth,6252 and served5647 the LORD3068 only.905

5 And Samuel8050 said,559 Gather6908 all3605 Israel3478 to Mizpeh,4708 and I will pray6419 for you to the LORD.3068

6 And they gathered6908 together to Mizpeh,4709 and drew7579 water,4325 and poured8210 it out before6440 the LORD,3068 and fasted6684 on that day,3117 and said559 there,8033 We have sinned2398 against the LORD.3068 And Samuel8050 judged8199 the children1121 of Israel3478 in Mizpeh.4708

7 And when the Philistines6430 heard8085 that the children1121 of Israel3478 were gathered6908 together to Mizpeh,4708 the lords5633 of the Philistines6430 went5927 up against413 Israel.3478 And when the children1121 of Israel3478 heard8085 it, they were afraid3372 of the Philistines.6430

8 And the children1121 of Israel3478 said559 to Samuel,8050 Cease2790 not to cry2199 to the LORD3068 our God430 for us, that he will save3467 us out of the hand3027 of the Philistines.6430

9 And Samuel8050 took3947 a sucking2461 lamb,2924 and offered5927 it for a burnt5930 offering wholly3632 to the LORD:3068 and Samuel8050 cried2199 to the LORD3068 for Israel;3478 and the LORD3068 heard6030 him.

10 And as Samuel8050 was offering5927 up the burnt5930 offering, the Philistines6430 drew near5066 to battle4421 against Israel:3478 but the LORD3068 thundered7481 with a great1419 thunder6963 on that day3117 on the Philistines,6430 and discomfited1949 them; and they were smitten5062 before Israel.3478

11 And the men582 of Israel3478 went3318 out of Mizpeh,4709 and pursued7291 the Philistines,6430 and smote5221 them, until5704 they came under8478 Bethcar.1033

12 Then Samuel8050 took3947 a stone,68 and set7760 it between996 Mizpeh4709 and Shen,8129 and called7121 the name8034 of it Ebenezer,72 saying,559 Till now5704 2008 has the LORD3068 helped5826 us.

13 So the Philistines6430 were subdued,3665 and they came935 no3808 more3254 5750 into the coast1366 of Israel:3478 and the hand3027 of the LORD3068 was against the Philistines6430 all3605 the days3117 of Samuel.8050

14 And the cities5892 which834 the Philistines6430 had taken3947 from Israel3478 were restored7725 to Israel,3478 from Ekron6138 even to Gath;1661 and the coasts1366 thereof did Israel3478 deliver5337 out of the hands3027 of the Philistines.6430 And there was peace7965 between996 Israel3478 and the Amorites.567

15 And Samuel8050 judged8199 Israel3478 all3605 the days3117 of his life.2416

16 And he went1980 from year8141 to year8141 in circuit5437 to Bethel,1008 and Gilgal,1537 and Mizpeh,4709 and judged8199 Israel3478 in all3605 those428 places.4725

17 And his return8666 was to Ramah;7414 for there8033 was his house;1004 and there8033 he judged8199 Israel;3478 and there8033 he built1129 an altar4196 to the LORD.3068

4 Израильтяне выбросили идолов лжебога Ваала и Астарты и стали служить лишь Господу.

4 Then the children1121 of Israel3478 did put5493 away5493 Baalim1168 and Ashtaroth,6252 and served5647 the LORD3068 only.905

5 Самуил сказал: «Все израильтяне должны собраться в Мицфе. Я помолюсь о вас Господу».

5 And Samuel8050 said,559 Gather6908 all3605 Israel3478 to Mizpeh,4708 and I will pray6419 for you to the LORD.3068

6 Израильтяне собрались в Мицфе. Они черпали воду и проливали её перед Господом (так они начинали время поста). Они постились в тот день и исповедовались в своих грехах. Они говорили: «Мы согрешили перед Господом». Самуил был судьёй над израильтянами в Мицфе.

7 Филистимляне услышали, что народ Израиля собрался в Мицфе, и филистимские правители пошли против израильтян. Израильтяне, услышав об этом, очень испугались.

7 And when the Philistines6430 heard8085 that the children1121 of Israel3478 were gathered6908 together to Mizpeh,4708 the lords5633 of the Philistines6430 went5927 up against413 Israel.3478 And when the children1121 of Israel3478 heard8085 it, they were afraid3372 of the Philistines.6430

8 Они сказали Самуилу: «Не переставай молиться о нас Господу, Богу нашему, чтобы Он спас нас от филистимлян!»

8 And the children1121 of Israel3478 said559 to Samuel,8050 Cease2790 not to cry2199 to the LORD3068 our God430 for us, that he will save3467 us out of the hand3027 of the Philistines.6430

9 Самуил взял ягнёнка, принёс его в жертву всесожжения Господу и молился Господу об Израиле. И Господь услышал его молитву.

10 And as Samuel8050 was offering5927 up the burnt5930 offering, the Philistines6430 drew near5066 to battle4421 against Israel:3478 but the LORD3068 thundered7481 with a great1419 thunder6963 on that day3117 on the Philistines,6430 and discomfited1949 them; and they were smitten5062 before Israel.3478

11 Израильтяне выступили из Мицфы, и преследовали филистимлян, и убивали их до самого Вефхора.

11 And the men582 of Israel3478 went3318 out of Mizpeh,4709 and pursued7291 the Philistines,6430 and smote5221 them, until5704 they came under8478 Bethcar.1033

12 После этого Самуил взял камень и поставил его между Мицфой и Сеном. Он назвал этот камень «Камнем Помощи» и сказал: «Господь помогал нам на протяжении всего пути, вплоть до этого места!»

13 So the Philistines6430 were subdued,3665 and they came935 no3808 more3254 5750 into the coast1366 of Israel:3478 and the hand3027 of the LORD3068 was against the Philistines6430 all3605 the days3117 of Samuel.8050

14 Филистимляне забрали у Израиля города от Екрона до Гефа, но израильтяне отвоевали у них эти города и их окрестности. Между израильтянами и аморреями тоже был мир.

14 And the cities5892 which834 the Philistines6430 had taken3947 from Israel3478 were restored7725 to Israel,3478 from Ekron6138 even to Gath;1661 and the coasts1366 thereof did Israel3478 deliver5337 out of the hands3027 of the Philistines.6430 And there was peace7965 between996 Israel3478 and the Amorites.567

15 Самуил вёл за собой Израиль всю свою жизнь.
